Tesla's Supercharger Vote Picked 36 New Sites in 19 Countries. The 17 U.S. Winners, What Opened This Weekend, and What Tesla Has Not Said About Dates

By EV Bandit | Updated November 2, 2026 | 6 min read

At a glance. Tesla named 36 owner-voted Supercharger sites in 19 countries on October 28, 2026, 17 of them in the United States, and reopened voting the same day. Separately, Tesla Charging announced nine sites with 76 stalls on October 31. We found no opening dates from Tesla for the winners.

Seventeen U.S. towns just won a Supercharger, and owners picked them. Tesla North reported on October 28 that Tesla Charging posted 36 voting winners across 19 countries, with the list on the Find Us map and a new round of voting open. Not a Tesla App spelled out the split: 20 sites in the Americas, 11 in Europe and the Middle East, five in Asia-Pacific.

“36 new winning locations for Q3 2026.” Tesla Charging on X, as quoted by Not a Tesla App

That is the news. The part that matters to a driver is what the list does and does not tell you, and it does not tell you when any of these will open.

The winners, by region

Region Sites Where, per the reports
Americas 20 17 in the U.S., one in Canada (Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec, on the Gaspé Peninsula), plus Mexico and Colombia
Europe and Middle East 11 Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and the UK
Asia-Pacific 5 Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand

The U.S. towns, as Not a Tesla App lists them from Tesla's post: Clarkdale, AZ; Eureka Springs, AR; Ramona, CA; Grand Lake, CO; Jupiter, FL; Dawsonville, GA; Sandpoint, ID; Owensboro, KY; Ogemaw Township, MI; Keene, NH; Morristown, NJ; Banner Elk, NC; Eufaula, OK; Cannon Beach, OR; Marble Falls, TX; Hanksville, UT; and Pinedale, WY. Tesla North independently confirms the count of 17 U.S. sites and the Quebec site; the town-by-town list rests on Not a Tesla App's reading of the post, which we could not open directly.

What opened this weekend is a different list

Do not confuse the winners with the openings. On October 31, Tesla Charging announced nine new sites; Tesla North's November 1 roundup counts 76 stalls in total. Nothing we read links these nine to the voting winners.

Site Stalls
Albany, Oregon 16
Manchester, Tennessee (Campground Road) 8
East Wenatchee, Washington (listed as a Supercharger for Business site) 6
Bollnäs, Sweden 12
Érd, Hungary 8
Zalaegerszeg, Hungary 8
Hannover, Germany (Südstadt-Bult) 8
Edogawa-ku, Tokyo (Rinkaicho) 6
Tai Koo, Hong Kong 4

Two Canadian openings, Keremeos, B.C. and Norwood, Ontario, 8 stalls each, are covered separately by Tesla North. The outlet notes that power ratings are not listed for every site, so check the Find Us map or in-car navigation before you plan around a charging speed.

How the vote works, and what Tesla has not said

Tesla's Supercharger Voting page says: “Cast a total of 5 votes (1 per location) for proposed Supercharger sites.” The page describes 3-month voting cycles and a leaderboard of the most popular proposals. It does not say who is eligible, how winners are finally chosen beyond popularity, or when winners open. Not a Tesla App says the next winners are expected early next year and suggests that faster-to-install Supercharger types could bring this round online sooner; that is the outlet's inference, not a Tesla commitment.

A small naming conflict: Not a Tesla App quotes Tesla as calling this round Q3 2026, while Tesla North names no quarter and says only that a new round opened in October. We use the quote as reported and flag the difference.

What this means for owners

Three practical takeaways
  1. If a winner sits on your regular route, vote again in the open round and treat the new site as a future bonus, not a plan.
  2. Do not read the weekend's nine openings as the winners arriving. They are separate announcements.
  3. A new Supercharger helps the trip. The daily charge still happens where the car sleeps, which is why the first item below is a home charger.

1. A plug-in home charger for the daily top-up

EVIQO NACS Level 2 plug-in charger, 40A, for Tesla Model Y and Model 3
The EVIQO NACS 40A plug-in charger: $480.99 for the 3-year variant, $579.00 for the 4-year. It plugs into a NEMA 14-50 outlet.

The listing describes a 40A (9.6 kW) Level 2 charger with a NACS connector, a 25-foot cable and app control over 2.4 GHz WiFi, rated IP66/NEMA 4 for rain and snow. The seller says it delivers roughly 38 miles of range per hour and that it works with all Tesla models. Those are the seller's figures, not ours. It needs a 14-50 outlet on a 40A or 50A circuit.

2. A hardwired 48A charger if you have the circuit

The EVIQO NACS 48A hardwired charger: $480.99 for the 3-year variant, $579.00 for the 4-year.

This is the same family at 48A (11.5 kW). The listing says it must be installed by a licensed electrician on a dedicated circuit rated at least 60A to deliver 48A. If your panel cannot spare that, the plug-in unit above is the realistic choice. Both listings mention eligibility for rebates, including a 30% federal tax credit; check your own eligibility before you count on it.

3. Fresh wipers before the winter drive

The Model 3 / Y wiper set, $29.99 for the left-hand-drive set of two.

Not a charging product, and we will not pretend otherwise. But a route to a Cannon Beach or a Banner Elk is a route with weather, and the listing recommends replacing wipers at least once a year. It gives the sizes as 26 inches for the driver's side and 19 inches for the passenger's, and says no tools are needed. Use Wiper Service Mode on the touchscreen to lift the arms, as the listing walks through.
